However, because our products are handcrafted in small batches, there may be slight natural variations in color, texture, and appearance between batches. This is a feature of handmade goods, not a defect.
Product images on our site may appear slightly different on your screen due to monitor settings and photography lighting. We do our best to represent products honestly.
Pricing and Availability
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice.
We reserve the right to correct pricing errors. If an item is listed at an incorrect price, we will contact you before processing the order and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel.
Product availability is limited by our small-batch production model. Items may sell out and we cannot guarantee restocking timelines. If an item you ordered is unexpectedly unavailable, we will notify you and offer a full refund.
Orders and Payment
By placing an order, you are making an offer to purchase the items in your cart at the listed price plus applicable shipping and taxes.
We reserve the right to cancel any order for any reason, including suspected fraud, pricing errors, or product unavailability. If we cancel your order, you will receive a full refund.
Payment is processed at the time of purchase through Shopify’s secure payment processing. We do not store your credit card information.
Shipping

Once an order is shipped, risk of loss passes to you. We are not responsible for delays, damage, or loss caused by the shipping carrier, though we will work with you to resolve any issues.

Our scent formulations (CSPs), product formulas, production systems, and brand materials are proprietary. Unauthorized reproduction or reverse-engineering of our formulations is prohibited.
The Black Sapling Studios name, Black Sapling Apothecary name, and the Black Sapling tree logo are our trademarks. Use of these marks without permission is prohibited.
User-Submitted Content
If you submit content to us — product reviews, photos, testimonials, or other materials — you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, and reproduce that content in connection with our business and marketing. You retain ownership of your content but give us permission to share it.
