Black Sapling Apothecary is the product heart of Black Sapling Studios. Everything here is handcrafted in small batches using original scent formulations we develop, test, and refine in-house.
We don’t buy fragrance oils from a catalog. Every scent in our line — from the warm comfort of Cottage Comfort to the cedar-damp atmosphere of Dewfall Cedar Garden to the field-ready bite of Swamp Slayer — is built from individual essential oils, resins, and botanicals. Each formula is standardized, versioned, and made the same way every time.
Our products are built on goat milk, shea butter, beeswax, jojoba, and other ingredients you can actually pronounce. No synthetic fragrances. No filler. No shortcuts.
What We Make
Goat Milk Soap — Premium artisan bars with rich lather, skin-nourishing oils, and scent profiles that last. Each bar is hand-poured, hand-cut, and wrapped with care.
Natural Deodorant — Dry-performance formula with real odor protection. Firm application, clean finish, slow scent release. Built to work in Georgia heat, not just in an air-conditioned office.
Salves — Healing, soothing, functional. Beeswax and shea butter base with targeted scent profiles for skin support and comfort.
Sprays — Room and linen sprays that make your home smell like a place, not a product. Plus our Swamp Slayer field spray — natural insect defense that actually works and doesn’t smell like a chemical plant.

How We’re Different
Most “natural” product companies buy pre-made fragrance blends and pour them into a base. We build our scent architecture from scratch. Every formula has a code, a version number, a mixing order, and a rest period. We track every batch by lot number. We know exactly what’s in every bar, every tin, every bottle — and we can tell you.
This isn’t a hobby that turned into an Etsy shop. This is a product business built on real manufacturing systems, designed to scale without losing the handcrafted quality that makes it worth buying in the first place.
